Fraxel® dual Laser
Advanced
Fractional Laser for
Skin Rejuvenation and
Pigmentation
What is the Fraxel® dual Laser?
The Fraxel® Dual Laser is an advanced, non-ablative fractional laser system designed for comprehensive skin renewal and rejuvenation. Combining two wavelengths—1550 nm erbium fibre for deep collagen remodelling and scar improvement, and 1927 nm thulium for surface pigmentation and sun damage—Fraxel® Dual effectively targets both skin texture and tone with less downtime than traditional ablative lasers. This makes it a leading choice for patients seeking visible results with minimal disruption.
how does Fraxel® dual work?
Fraxel® Dual uses fractional photothermolysis to create thousands of microscopic treatment zones (MTZs) in the skin. These MTZs penetrate in a pixel-like pattern, leaving healthy tissue between each zone to speed up recovery and stimulate new collagen production.
1550 nm Laser (Erbium fibre):
Penetrates deep into the dermis (up to 1.4 mm), stimulating collagen and elastin for acne scars, fine lines, surgical scars, stretch marks, and skin texture improvement.1927 nm Laser (Thulium):
Targets the epidermis and upper dermis, treating pigmentation, sun spots, melasma, and actinic keratoses, while brightening and clarifying skin tone.
By combining both wavelengths, Fraxel® Dual can address deep and superficial skin concerns in the same session.
what can Fraxel® dual treat?
Acne scars and surgical scars
Fine lines and wrinkles
Uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and melasma
Sun damage and actinic keratoses (field treatment)
Enlarged pores and rough skin texture
Neck, chest, and hand rejuvenation
Stretch marks (striae)
Fraxel® Dual is suitable for most fair to medium skin types (Fitzpatrick I–IV); extra care is taken for darker skin to minimise pigment risks.
What to expect: Treatment and recovery
Before treatment: A topical anaesthetic is applied for comfort.
Procedure time: 20–45 minutes, depending on the area treated.
Sensation: Most patients feel a warm, prickling sensation.
Downtime:
1927 nm: 3–5 days of redness, mild flaking, or bronzing
1550 nm: 5–7 days of swelling and mild peeling
Aftercare: Strict sun avoidance and daily SPF 50+ are essential for best results.
Results: Improvements in skin tone, clarity, and texture appear gradually over several weeks as collagen remodelling continues.
A series of 3–5 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is typically recommended for optimal outcomes.

Non-ablative: Preserves the skin’s surface, reducing risks and downtime.
Customisable: Dual wavelengths allow treatments to be tailored for individual skin needs.
